Horehound can be used to treat many ailments. Used externally horehound may be used to treat a range of skin conditions. Taken internally horehound soothes a cough and is good for bronchial problems. Horehound also promotes sweating, and therefore helps to reduce fever. It also stimulates the flow and secretion of bile from the gallbladder, thereby aiding digestion.

Hot infusion

Preparing a hot infusion horehound tea requires several steps.

(1) Fill one tea infuser full of the horehound tea herbs.

(2) Pour one cup of boiling water over the herbs.

(3) Cover the cup to ensure all the volatile oils & aromas in the horehound tea herbs do not escape.

(4) Allow the herbs to infuse for 3-5 minutes, then sip
